Istanbul with love

I miss this city. This city was my home for months and when everyone was my family. Now I am left with memories. Memories that feel so real. I really want to go back to this beautiful place again.

Time out

"There is no distance too far between friends, for friendship gives wings to the heart "

After coming back from a foreign land, which was my home for almost 6 months, somehow I just cannot fully adapt to life back to my real home. I kept missing my friends from overseas. I made tremendous effort to skype, fb chat, fb comment and whatsapp, making sure that I will not lose them. I feel that such friendships are worth keeping and make a point/a promise to visit them soon. Such relationships require loads of effort. But it is an effort that I deemed worthy. Wish money could just drop from heaven. I miss my exchange friends alot. Glad to have our fb page running, this is probably the best platform to know everyone is doing well.

Tomorrowland

Favorite

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breathers you took, but how many moments took your breathe away. This is one moment and one of my favourite photo from my trip to Stuttgart. I must say children's smile is the most natural thing ever, instantly this child made me smile (:

Have a good day everyone (:

Countries and cities

Sabanci University and Istanbul

Going for an exchange in a foreign country was indeed an adventure for me. From taking the plane, to settling minor details making sure that my stay was going to be fine, was tiring but I gelt that the experience was really fruitful. I learnt to be independent though back home, I am already an independent girl, who knows how to take care of herself. But this time, I was all alone, without my parents. I have to make sure that my laundry, groceries and etc. have to be done or else I may not have clothes to wear the next day, or be hungry because I forget to stock up some food. In fact, I love the feeling of just being alone, having a lot of "ME" time. It makes me understand myself better. It allows me to think about my future, my present and what should I do during my stay in a foreign country. People, culture and school were pretty awesome. I have a good bunch of amazing friends from all over the world, mainly Europe, Australia and Hong Kong. The weekly dinner gathering is something that I am missing now. The joy of cooking for my friends and enjoying a meal together is a feeling that cannot be described with mere words. In addition, I have good friends who I called them as my "parents" because they took care of me very well, some even helped me when I was away flying around Europe. I am glad that my yearbook series made everyone smiled at the end of this journey. It is the best memory for me since the day I become an adult. I can only thank God for this amazing time. I also have to thank my home university for the opportunity to go to such a beautiful city to study and experience life in a different way.
Besides that, I learn to be more adventurous and  headed out to the city alone a few times to witness magical moments that took my soul away. I even picked up longboarding and made new friends. It was an unexpected gift and I love the interaction I have with the longboarding friends. I wished I could just head back to Istanbul now.
Seriously without them, my exchange experience will be boring. I miss exchange and my friends from all over the world!

I took some photos of my amazing university that hosted me when I was in Istanbul:

The main area of the university

The sports centre/ art centre

The place where my friends and I frequent for meals and meetups (: this place is full of memories. We even jumped into that pond on our last few nights together.

My amazing art school (:

Travel Log: Thailand, Bangkok

Bangkok was 2 weeks after I came back from Europe. Went there with my family for food and shopping. Bangkok never fails to excite me. I am always a happy girl when I am in Bangkok. Cheap food and cheap clothes. Such a great combination. (:

Cheap Monday

Cheap Monday is a Swedish clothing label. It was started by two amazing people, Orjan Anderson and Adam Friberg. Love this brand for its design and the comfort of the jeans (: I knew the brand when I was around 16, but only started owning this brand in year 2012. Most of my purchase came from London, Stockholm and Stuttgart. I am glad to have such awesome and chic pieces from Cheap Monday. They are a brand worth buying (: Check out the brand's SS2013 Fashion Show on Aug (http://www.cheapmonday.com/show/)

Travel Log: Netherlands and Sweden

These two countries (Netherlands and Sweden) , I lived with my friends who I knew from my exchange. They are awesome hosts. I had a wonderful time with them and their family. Besides that, I love their cities. <3

Netherlands
While I was in Netherlands, I visited 3 cities in total. They were Amsterdam, Assen and Groningen.
When I was in Assen ( a city in Netherlands), I was able to attend the Dutch TT. An eye-opener indeed. Love the line-ups in the festival, it was really hyped up, love the bands that played that day. In Amsterdam, I visited the Anne Frank Museum. It was rather knowledgable for me, because I did not read her diary at all. The museum showed us her house and what happened in the house. The museum also showed the life and times of Anne Frank. You should check it out if you go to Amsterdam.

Some pictures that I took while I was in Holland...

I will really like to thank Sanne for allowing me to stay at her place. Her family treated me very well and Sanne was an awesome tour guide <3

Her Awesome Family (:

-----------------------------------

In Sweden, I visited 2 cities, and they were Stockholm and Uppsala. I stayed with Rahima and her family while I was there. Love both cities. They do not look alike at all. I loved spending time with Rahima, and she was an amazing tour guide too. We have loads of fika time and visiting beautiful places. Besides that, I stock up loads of Cheap Monday apparels while I was there. I am addicted to this brand. (: Really want to thank Rahima for bringing me around.

älskar dig ♥

This also marks my euro trip. It was fruitful to experience different cultures within a short period. I am blessed to make friends and have friends who can bring me around. <3
